I am an underwater photographer, marine biologist, and dive instructor currently living in Hawai'i. With my photography, I hope to show people the beauty of the ocean, the animals that call it home, and its current need for protection and restoration.
When I was young, I realized how important the ocean was -- not only to my life, but to the world. It is the lungs and pulse of this planet; it is something that we cannot live without. Its vastness is taken for granted when people think that a little pollution or debris isn’t a big deal. The continental debris fields, depleted fisheries, increasing temperatures, and dropping pH is something that I think about daily. All of these things deeply worry me, but together I know we can fix them.
I grew up on the water in South Florida, where I fell in love with sharks and manatees. In 2008, I moved to Hawai’i to pursue my passion for marine sciences. Since then I have graduated from University of Hawai’i at Manoa with a BS in Marine Biology, and become a Dive Instructor for the Scientific Dive Program at the University of Hawai'i as well as an aspiring freelance underwater photographer. The ocean is an important part of my life and I am honored to share its beauty with you. I hope you enjoy my work, mahalo!
